Middle School's FCCLA chapter sponsors "Hearts for Haiti" fundraiser

(March 9, 2010) -- RCS Middle School's afterschool chapter of the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) sponsored "Hearts for Haiti" Relief project on February 13. Students made 200 mini heart-shaped brownies and raised $192.
During the three lunch shifts, students, teachers and staff donated $1 and received a brownie as a "thank you." According to Alice Lammly, FCCLA advisor, a check to the American Red Cross, specifically for Haiti Relief Efforts, was sent to the local Red Cross Chapter in Albany.
Congratulations FCCLA and thank you to all the middle school's students and staff for supporting the cause!
