A.W. Becker students build support for Australia Wildlife Fund

A.W. Becker Elementary students create artwork for Australia Wildlife Fund
Recently, A.W. Becker Elementary students created a mural to support the Australia Wildlife Fund.

Earlier this month, A.W. Becker Elementary students began a fundraising campaign to assist those affected by the wildfires in Australia. As many of you know, countless animal species and residents have experienced devastating effects from the widespread wildfires.

The A.W. Becker Elementary Student Council, in partnership with school officials, are continuing the campaign to support the Australia Wildlife Fund. AWB students have shared their thoughts and have stepped up their effort to assist those affected by this environmental disaster.

Recently, A.W. Becker students have all shared personally designed koala pictures which are featured in the A.W. Becker main lobby. Each picture is unique and offers support to our friends in Australia. A.W. Becker students are also collecting donations which are being sent to the main office. There’s currently a coin-drop container or you can send donations labeled in an envelope to the office.

All proceeds will be shared with the Australia Wildfire Fund. The funds raised will go directly towards assisting local firefighting efforts, supporting affected communities as they recover from the fires, increase efforts to rescue and recover wildlife, while supporting the work being done to help restore fragile ecosystems in Australia.

If you’re interested in joining our effort to help those in need, please offer to donate. We’re proud of our students continued initiative to “Be Respectful. Be Responsible.”
