More than 150, two-pound bags of granola will be to be sent to families in need around the Capital Region after A.W. Becker student volunteers packaged the granola for the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York on Wednesday, May 25.
The fourth and fifth-grade Student Government officers and representatives of A.W. Becker left the Food Bank with a sense of pride. “The experience was both fun and fulfilling,” Student Government advisor Deborah Conti said. “Students were eager to return to help out.”
Appreciative of how the local charity inspired her students, advisor Laura Daley added “We are thankful for the work the Regional Food Bank carries out and were pleased to be able to help in their efforts.”
