Albany Times Union blogger features RCS student posts

While studying the art of blogging, Tera Stumbaugh’s journalism students had a unique opportunity to be published as guest bloggers for Albany Times Union writer Krisiti Barlette’s blog.

Barlette spoke to the class March 14 offering insight into her career in journalism and success in blogging. She also spoke about the mistakes she made early in her blogging career and offered advice.

“Her advice about making their blogs personal and relatable has already been put into practice by several of the students in the class,” Stumbaugh said.

Each student had the opportunity to write a 300-word blog post to be read by Barlette, who then chose what she considered to be the four best blog posts. The chosen posts are being featured on her Times Union blog, “What’s trending, in my life, and in yours.”

Barlette is featuring blog posts written by RCS students Meghan MacMorran, Oscar Jukes, James Wamsley, and Hannah Smith.
