RCS District to transition to Complete Remote Instruction, 12/18/2020

Communication with Families:

The RCS District will continue in Complete Remote Instruction for Friday, December 18, due to a shortage of staff. Contact tracing around positive COVID-19 cases over the past week, in combination with mandatory quarantines, has created a staffing shortage in the district. Again, because of the staffing shortage, the district is continuing in complete remote instruction for all students tomorrow, Friday, December 18.  The district will communicate by the end of the day tomorrow any decision about the need to extend completely remote instruction into next week.

Elementary students should sign into their Google Classroom at 9 a.m. and MS/HS students should follow their regular daily schedule beginning at 7:30 am.

There will be transportation provided for private school, CTE, and out of district special education students on Friday, Dec. 18 if any of the schools are open.  Please watch the local news for information about any closures.

Student breakfast and lunch will be available for any family that would like to pick up.  Pickup will be available at the front of both elementary schools and at the loading dock of the high school (closest to 9W) between 8-11 am tomorrow. Download RCS Connects!

In addition, the district urges parents and caregivers to download our new mobile app to stay up-to-date on news items related to the RCS District. The RCS Connects mobile app is available to download for FREE on both Google Play or the Apple App Store.
