This is a follow up to an email notification that we sent to our community in mid-February. In order to streamline communications and better meet the needs of all families, as of March 1st, the district no longer emails every RCS family when there is a positive COVID-19 case within our district. Instead, we have utilized our “COVID-19 notifications” if/when there are positive cases. This page is readily available on the banner at the top of the district homepage. We have been sharing updates on this page, since March 1, by 5 p.m. (Monday-Friday while school is in session).
Please note a few items related to this process:
There will be no new COVID-19 notification message on the district website, posted for a particular school day, when there are no positive cases to report.
No changes will be made to how we communicate to families/staff who are personally impacted by a positive case. Impacted families will always be personally notified, as soon as possible, once the district has received notification of a positive case and tracing has been completed. Notifications will come from the RCS District by email and phone call or robo-phone call.
Please note that the most recent notifications will appear at the top of the COVID-19 Notification page and items will be removed 10 days after posting.

1 case associated with RCS Middle School with the last possible contact on 1/31/21; At this time the DOH has deemed that no students or staff members are considered a close or proximate contact with this individual.
