Hello RCS Families,

Over 140 people have already signed up for our COVID-19 rapid testing clinic that will occur this Saturday, June 26, from 10 AM to 12 PM.  As a reminder, as of today’s date, the NYS Department of Health guidance for “large-scale” venues requires that every participant and attendee must demonstrate one of three things prior to entry into a large-scale venue (such as the Times Union Center):  A negative COVID-19 test, vaccination, or proof of recovery from COVID-19.  Proof of one of these must be provided at the door and any one of the documents below will serve as proof to enter the RCS graduation which will occur on Saturday, June 26 at 4 pm:

  • The Excelsior Pass on your phone

  • Official vaccination card

  • Letter from your physician on their letterhead stating that you have had and have recovered from COVID in the past 90 days

  • Printed official lab report of a negative result on a PCR (lab) test taken within 72 hours of graduation

  • Official printed lab report or “App” report of a negative result from an FDA approved rapid test taken within 6 hours of graduation

  • A negative result on an FDA approved over-the-counter rapid test, SEALED IN A CLEAR PLASTIC BAG, with the person’s Name, Date and Time of Test labeled on the bag

Anyone who arrives at the door to the TU Center for graduation without one of these proofs will be turned away.

RCS is fortunate to have about 430 remaining rapid COVID-19 tests and we will be hosting a drive-through COVID-19 rapid testing clinic for students and their families on our high school campus on the day of graduation, June 26, from 10 AM to 12 PM. You will need to sign up for this opportunity by using this link.  Each student will be allowed to request up to four appointments for themselves and/or family members as needed.  If the student is in need of a COVID test, their name should be included in the four registrants.  Registration will remain open until all appointments have been taken or until Thursday, June 24 at noon.  Confirmation of individual/group appointment times will be sent to all registered participants by the afternoon of Thursday, June 24.

If you have any questions, please give us a call at the high school main office at (518) 756-5200 ext. 2000.  We are looking forward to celebrating with you!
