Good Afternoon,

Due to a staff shortage, RCS High School will transition to complete remote instruction for tomorrow, Friday, December 3, 2021. We will not be able to safely have all students in our high school building tomorrow due to this critical shortage of staff. Students should follow their regular daily schedule beginning at 7:30 AM by logging into their google classroom for their first-period class. The High School picture retake day originally scheduled for tomorrow has been canceled, the new date will be shared soon.

Our self-contained special education classrooms will be in person on Friday, December 3.

Again, the RCS High School is transitioning to complete remote instruction tomorrow, Friday, December 3rd.  The district will communicate by the end of the day tomorrow any decision about the need to extend completely remote instruction into next week.

Transportation & CTE

There will be transportation provided for private schools, AM & PM CTE, and out-of-district special education students on Friday, December 3, 2021.

AM CTE students will be picked up on their regular bus run in the morning and will be transported directly to CTE. After CTE, students will be transported back to the HS and will be supervised for the remainder of the day so that they may complete their classes remotely (on their Chromebooks) and then take their regular bus home in the afternoon.

PM CTE students will be picked up on their regular bus run in the morning and will be supervised at the HS so that they can complete their classes remotely (on their Chromebooks) in the morning and will then be brought to their PM CTE. After CTE, students will be returned to the HS, and take their regular bus run home.

Meals

Families can pick up free breakfast/lunch from the High School loading dock between 8 to 10 am tomorrow, Friday, December 3, 2021.

Sports & After-School Activities

Since tomorrow is a Friday, there will not be a 10th-period. Sports practices and games will still run if coaches would like to, but students will need to find their own transportation to school for any events scheduled to take place.
