In late July, the RCS District reached out to our school community to engage on school reopening planning for the 2020-21 school year. The district received over 1,000 responses covering topics ranging from health and safety, cleaning procedures and curriculum for the upcoming school year. This exchange allowed our community to give voice to their greatest concerns and to ask questions about our reopening plans for the fall. Our four district reopening committees have been working since June to meet the needs of staff, students and families while adhering to the strict New York State guidelines. With the added power of these thousand voices, our 80 reopening committee members have focused their work on what is most important to our community. The question that was asked = “What does RCS need to consider in order for staff/students/families to feel safe and supported as we plan for our return to school in September?” The results of the exchange may be found here.
