On Thursday, August 28, volunteers from National Bank of Coxsackie joined RCS staff to complete the construction of outdoor classroom benches at the RCS High School. Situated off of the high school library, the project involved the construction of 13 benches which will then be placed into the courtyard. The outdoor classroom will continue to be used this fall and will allow students to experience a unique learning environment with fellow classmates and faculty.
“We’re fortunate to have volunteers that offer their time and resources to build unique and flexible classroom spaces for our district,” said RCS Superintendent Dr. Brian Bailey. “This partnership, with our community businesses, allows our district to direct our efforts toward providing effective learning spaces for RCS students.”
Many thanks to our volunteers for creating this great learning area for students and staff.
