If a student or staff member has been a close contact to a COVID-19 case:

If a student or staff member has been exposed to COVID-19, regardless of vaccination status it is highly recommended they wear a mask for a full 10 days following that exposure. Students and staff are not required to isolate if they have been exposed to a positive case, regardless of vaccination status, and can continue coming to school.

We continue to work with, and follow the recommendations of, the Albany County Department of Health. As the environmental conditions and positivity levels change, different situations may require modification or adaptation to previously established protocols.

If a student/staff member tests positive for COVID-19, please follow the guidance here for “If a student/staff member tests positive for COVID-19.”

If a student/staff member develops symptoms of COVID-19, please follow the guidance here for "A student/staff member has COVID-19 symptoms."

Regardless of whether or not there is a known exposure to COVID-19, it is very important that students and staff who are sick do not attend school.
