Have some thoughts to share about the future of our RCS students?

Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk CSD Future Forum: Preparing the Next Generation for Their Future in the Workplace and the World

Have some thoughts to share about the future of our RCS students? Then come join us for the Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk Central School District Future Forum from 5:30 – 8 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 13.

RCS schools, and all schools, will face fiscal challenges this year and in future years.  The district must invest wisely and consider how to best use our time, staff, and resources.  All of these combine to make meaningful programs for our students.

During this meeting, attendees will hear a brief overview of the budget process and will work in small groups to discuss a variety of school-related topics.  Our overarching question will be: what are our priorities as we prepare the students of RCS for the global community?

Participants do not need to be educational experts; they need to be people who are passionate about the outcomes for all RCS children.  These discussions, hosted by District leaders, will provide important insight as the District and Board of Education plan for the 2018-19 school year and beyond.

The community conversation will be held from 5:30 – 8 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2018 in the RCS High School library.

Who is invited?  Anyone who may potentially be affected by the success of our students: parents/guardians, business leaders, senior citizens, school employees, political representatives, non-parent taxpayers, etc. RSVP for the RCS Future Forum here. RSVPs will be accepted through noon on Feb. 9.

A light dinner will be available during this event.  Space is limited and RSVPs will be accepted on a first come, first served basis.  All interested parties will receive an email confirmation by close noon on Saturday, Feb. 10.
