RCS High School students to perform at Proctors Theatre in Melodies of Christmas Chorale

group of students pose for photoEleven RCS High School students, chosen to participate in this year’s Empire State Youth Orchestra Melodies of Christmas Chorale, will perform along with the Empire State Youth Orchestra at Proctors Theatre Dec. 17-20. RCS French hornist Kathryn Rowzee will also be performing as a regular member of the ESYO.

Chorale students have been rehearsing since early fall, when they were chosen from a large pool of applicants to participate in the event. RCS participants include, Diana Bechdol, Madison Brown, Winnie Civill, Carly Gill, Jacob Harbeck, Andrew Jones, Emmalyn Knapp, Morgan LaDuke, Imara Smith, McKenna Stephens and Julie Van Alstyne.

Proceeds from tickets sales to Melodies of Christmas will benefit the Melodies Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders at the Bernard & Millie Duker Children’s Hospital at Albany Medical Center.

CBS 6 will air the performance Dec. 24 and Dec. 25.
