The RCS Middle School Physical Education department announced that eight eighth grade students were presented with the Sandra G. Morley Physical Education Leadership Award. The award, presented by the Capital Zone of the New York State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance, seeks to recognize students for their character, sportsmanship, citizenship and leadership both inside and outside of the classroom. RCS students were selected by their physical education teachers on the basis of leadership skills. The recipients demonstrated responsible personal and social behavior, sportsmanship and citizenship.
Specifically, the honor is given to those that have shown leadership in Physical Education during the past three years at the RCS Middle School.
Here are the 2020 recipients of the Sandra G. Morley Physical Education Leadership Award:
Chloe Canham; Maxwell Deyoe; Jillian Hallisey; Alivia Ortiz; Jack Reif; Austin Rosado; Mizzella Stanley and Katelyn Visone.
Due to events surrounding COVID-19, students will receive their certificate, official letter and T-shirt during the Moving Up Day celebrations the week of June 1-5.
