RCS part-time employee facing criminal charges

On December 19, an RCS High School student reported becoming ill after receiving a vape pen that contained THC. RCS administrators, in conjunction with the Albany County Sheriff’s Office, investigated the incident. As a result of the investigation, an RCS part-time lifeguard was interviewed by law enforcement and was formally charged for endangering the welfare of a child and possession of a controlled substance. The employee will be placed on leave during the investigation and is pending an appearance in the Justice Court for the Village of Ravena.
