Students score big at Science Olympiad Tournament

A few members of the RCS HS Science Olympiad team at the Capital Region Science Olympiad Regional Tournament on Saturday, February 8.

Earlier this month, the RCS High School Science Olympiad team competed in the Capital Region Science Olympiad Regional Tournament. The team competed against 15 schools from across the Capital District. The team placed eighth overall while competing against larger districts in this year’s Division C category. In addition, the district also placed third in competition against smaller school districts in Division C.

As part of the event, students were encouraged to illustrate their ability to work as a team, compete respectfully against their peers and present their comprehensive knowledge and success in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) education.

Individual RCS event medalists are as follows:
