Ms. Simmons and Ms. Wallace in front of the show

The RCS Art Department has once again worked with the RCS Community Library to display student artwork in celebration of Youth Art Month! Each year in March, Youth Art Month is celebrated in schools across the United States. They focus on creating opportunities to bring awareness to the many forms of visual art and art education and their importance to all students' educational journeys.

“We are so pleased we could have the show again this year!” said High School Art Teacher Mrs. Wallace. “We are incredibly grateful for the support our community provides to art education opportunities. The students have, once again, blown us away with their talent and creativity!”

The RCS Central School District Art Department has been busy the last couple of months collecting student pieces to be set up on display for the show. The show is open now! It will remain up for the rest of March until April 27! The show hours are Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Click here to view the flyer for the show for more information! We hope to see you there!

This show is part of the Youth Art Month celebrations at all RCS Schools! Stay tuned to see more ways our students and staff celebrate self-expression and creativity during Youth Art Month.
