Select Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk Central School District students from the middle school and both elementary schools were honored for the Sandra G Morley Physical Education Student Leadership Award at Hudson Valley Community College on Monday, May 8.
Students were selected by area physical education teachers based on a criteria by which they were measured. They are not necessarily the best athletes, but each recipient demonstrates responsible personal and social behavior, sportsmanship and citizenship. They also exhibit a desire to learn and improve.in a physically active lifestyle. They also demonstrate leadership, presenting a positive influence on peers, and have contributed toward the total school program.
