Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk Central School District residents approve the proposed $56,959,448 budget for the 2025–26 school year with a 65% approval, or 448 yes votes to 243 no votes.
The approved budget reflects a spending increase of $2,381,109, or 4.36%, and results in an estimated tax rate increase of 3.56%. This increase remains below the district’s tax cap and therefore required only a simple majority (50% plus one) to pass.
Five candidates were running for three seats on the school board. Voters elected Michael Deyo onto the board with 431 votes, Edward Bedinotti with 336 votes, and Jennifer Molino with 405 votes.
Two propositions appeared on the ballot. Voters approved an estimated $2,016,789 Capital Improvement Project that will focus on the safety and security upgrades for our schools. There will be no increase in taxes on this proposal since this capital project will come from the district’s capital reserve fund and state aid. Voters also approved the authorized purchase of buses for the district.
The district thanks all residents who participated in this year’s vote. For more information about the approved budget and capital project, visit the district website here.
