RCS Seniors Celebrated at SkillsUSA National Signing Day for Technical Careers

Four seniors from Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk High School were recognized on Thursday, May 29, during the annual National Signing Day event hosted by Capital Region BOCES.

The event, part of SkillsUSA National Signing Day, celebrates Capital Region high school seniors who are committing to careers in the skilled trades. Much like athletes on NCAA Signing Day, these students are officially announcing their next steps after graduation, signing on to local companies and organizations as they’re preparing to enter the workforce to begin apprenticeships or continue training in high-demand fields.

Our four RCS students were among 40 students representing a wide range of career and technical programs, including cosmetology, construction and heavy equipment, HVAC-R, and early childhood education. Each signature represented a meaningful next step for these students, marking the beginning of rewarding careers built on hands-on skills and real-world experience. These students are now ready to make an immediate impact in their communities, filling critical roles in local industries and trades.

We want to congratulate these RCS seniors as they take the next step in their professional journeys. We are incredibly proud of you and look forward to all that you will accomplish!
