School Board Recognition Week

This week is School Board Recognition Week, a time to celebrate the members of the RCS School District Board of Education and the vital role they play in shaping our students’ educational experiences. Our board works to ensure that every student has access to meaningful, engaging learning opportunities that connect the classroom to the real world.

In 2025, the Board of Education continues to build on the reimagined Mission, Vision, and Goals established last year, focusing on effective communication, a positive and inclusive school culture, and high academic expectations. Through policy development, responsible budgeting, and accountability for student achievement, the board ensures that district resources are aligned to support student success. Their ongoing commitment to fostering a healthy school environment and real-world learning prepares our students for life beyond graduation.

We extend our sincere appreciation to our Board of Education members: Michael Deyo (President), Edward Bedinotti (Vice President), Daniel Baker, Michael Coyne, Jacqueline Kalney, Matthew Miller, Jennifer Molino, Melanie Potter, and Peter Ross. Their leadership, dedication, and service make a lasting difference in the lives of our students and our community.

For more information about our board members and their initiatives, please visit the Board of Education Homepage on our website.

Let’s take this week to thank and celebrate our board members for their commitment to making RCS a place where every student can thrive!
