The Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk Central School District is pleased to announce that registration for Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten for the 2026–2027 school year is now underway. Families with young children are encouraged to begin the enrollment process early to support a smooth transition into school and to ensure access to important screening opportunities.
The official enrollment period for the 2026–2027 school year runs from February 6 through March 27, 2026. During this time, families should visit the District website to review registration instructions, complete all required forms, and submit the necessary documentation to the District Registrar. Registering within this official window is strongly encouraged.
Pre-Kindergarten
Each year, the district applies for New York State grant funding to offer a Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) program for children who are at least 4 years old, but not yet 5 by December 1, 2026. Open pre-kindergarten registration is available during the enrollment period, with placements determined according to state guidelines and program availability.
Pre-kindergarten screenings will be held in May of 2026. Families will receive specific screening appointment dates and times directly from their child’s designated elementary school after the enrollment period ends.

Kindergarten
Children who will be 5 years old by December 1, 2026, are eligible to enroll in kindergarten. While there is no hard deadline to register, families are encouraged to complete enrollment during the official registration period so their child may participate in kindergarten screening days.
Kindergarten screenings will take place in May of 2026, and detailed scheduling information will be shared by each elementary school after the enrollment period ends.
