Behind the scenes of every successful school district is a steady, organized presence helping everything run smoothly. The Superintendent’s Office is no exception, and the Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk Central School District is pleased to welcome Isis Sample to this important role. Serving as a key point of contact for families, staff, and community members, Isis plays a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Superintendent’s Office as the Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent of Schools.
This position was redesigned to fit the current and future needs of our District, supporting the means in modern education. What was once solely a supportive role to the Superintendent of Schools has evolved into an architect of systems, one that supports and refines district-wide procedures, builds consistent workflows and communication between the Board of Education and the Superintendent, and ensures complex administrative processes move forward with clarity and accountability. The role requires someone who can transform raw data into actionable insights and requires advanced technical skills in data analytics, systems design, survey development, and digital records management. From coordinating cross-departmental initiatives and tracking district priorities to supporting strategic planning within the Superintendent’s Office, the role has become essential to alignment, efficiency, and long-term sustainability across the organization.
Isis joins RCS with a professional background supporting C-suite executives and CEOs, along with extensive experience in board governance. She brings a skill set well-suited to advancing the District’s mission and supporting effective leadership. With more than a decade of experience serving mission-driven organizations across the Capital Region, including the State University of New York (SUNY), the Capital Region Chamber, and, most recently, the Regional Food Bank, Isis adds valuable expertise to the Superintendent’s Office.
“I am excited to join the Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk Central School District as the Confidential Secretary to the Superintendent,” Isis said. “I am honored to contribute my experience, dedication, and commitment to service in support of the District’s continued success.”
Superintendent of Schools Craig Chandler emphasized the importance of the role and the expertise Isis brings to the District. “As we future-proof RCS, this position is absolutely central to our success. I'm thrilled to add someone of Isis' caliber to our team. She has the analytical rigor, technical proficiency, and strategic thinking that modern educational leadership demands,” he said.
