A Night of Art, Community, and Creativity at Pieter B. Coeymans Elementary

The halls of Pieter B. Coeymans Elementary School came alive the evening of April 16, 2026, as families gathered to celebrate student creativity during the school’s Art Show and Community Night. The event drew a strong turnout and was widely regarded as a great success.

Visitors had the opportunity to stroll through the school and admire a wide range of student artwork proudly displayed throughout the halls. Each piece reflected the creativity, effort, and unique perspective of the young artists, making the experience exciting for attendees of all ages.

Beyond the art show, the evening offered something for everyone. Families explored community vehicles, including Ravena Rescue, the Coeymans Fire Department, and their rescue boat, which was a huge hit. The State Police K9 unit was also present, as well as RCS Transportation. Visitors also enjoyed a variety of food trucks and watched as talented high school Art Honors students transformed faces with creative face painting designs. In the cafeteria, students and their families participated in interactive STEAM activities, adding an educational and hands-on component to the festivities, and browsed the book sale.

The event was made possible through the hard work of many contributors. A special thank you goes to Ms. Chriss for organizing and showcasing the incredible talents of student artists. Appreciation is also extended to the Pieter B. PTO for planning and hosting a fun and memorable Community Night.
