The RCS High School held its annual commencement ceremony to celebrate the Class of 2026 on Thursday, June 25, at the Empire State Convention Center.
The ceremony included performances by the senior chorus and graduation band, recognition of the Class of 2026 Top Ten, and the presentation of diplomas to this year's graduates. The ceremony also featured speeches from Superintendent Craig P. Chandler, Principal Ryan Funck, Class of 2026 Valedictorian Stephen Mathai, Salutatorian Sandra Guzmán-Ortiz, and Class President Jillian Decker.
This year’s graduates made their mark on RCS through achievement, service, and leadership. Whether in the classroom, on the field, in the community, or through Career and Technical Education, they embodied the district’s core values of inquiry, collaboration, risk-taking, participation, empathy, and community, setting a strong example for those who follow.
"As you stand on the threshold of a new chapter, I want to express how proud I am of each of you," said High School Principal Ryan Funck. "I encourage you to take risks, work hard, lead with kindness, and never underestimate your impact on the world. Whether you're heading to college, the workforce, the military, or another path, believe in yourself. You are ready."
Congratulations to the Class of 2026!
