A.W. Becker Community,
I wanted to provide some details regarding the Apple Run, which is scheduled for Friday, September 25th at 1:45 p.m. We are looking forward to another great event and appreciate your help in making the afternoon a fun and successful experience for our students.
1.) To be as prepared as possible, we are writing all of our dismissal passes in advance. I am closing out the form (sent through ParentSquare) on Thursday, September 24 at 6:00 pm, so please fill it out if you plan to attend the event and take your child home afterwards. We will have a few tables sorted by grade level outside where you can pick up your pass as you walk into the event. We will be stationed at those tables by 1:30 pm. Please make sure you bring your ID with you.
2.) The spectator section will be behind the roped area closest to the school. Please stay behind the ropes at all times. At the end, I will call families taking their child with them by grade level. At that point, go around the ropes and give your pass to the teacher.
3.) We will have a School Resource Officer on site at the conclusion to assist with getting cars off campus.
4.) We are looking to start by 1:50 p.m., so we have some time to get cars out before buses begin arriving. Please do not park in the front of the building along the curb where buses come in.
5.) Parking can become an issue at times, so we encourage families to carpool whenever possible. This will help conserve parking spaces and ensure there is room for everyone.
