A.W. Becker Community,
I hope all is well with our AWB family! It’s hard to believe that we are already through our first month of school. Our students are getting back into the school routine, building relationships with their classmates and teachers, and settling into the expectations and routines that help make A.W. Becker such a special place to learn.
It has been wonderful to see the energy and excitement throughout the building. As we move into October, we will continue to focus on creating a positive school environment where every student feels safe, supported, and ready to learn. Our 3 B’s—Be Safe, Be Respectful, and Be Responsible—continue to be at the heart of what we do each day.
Here are a few general updates around the building:
1.) We have completed two of our required evacuation drills for the school year. By law, schools are required to complete six evacuation drills by December 1, as well as two lockdown drills. Families will always be notified in advance when one of these drills is scheduled to take place. Thank you for your continued support as we work to maintain a safe and secure learning environment for all of our students and staff.
2.) Picture Day is October 22nd, please be on the lookout for the forms coming home to purchase pictures.

2026 Apple Run

Thank you to everyone who came out and supported us for our Apple Run! This was our first big community event of the school year, and, as always, we had a wonderful turnout. It was great to see so many of our AWB families, students, and community members come together and enjoy the afternoon.
A special thank you goes out to everyone who helped make the event possible. We had many people helping with family check-in, as well as numerous staff and community members who helped plan, organize, and prepare for the event. Your time, energy, and willingness to help are greatly appreciated.
