The Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk CSD is sharing information related to opting-in for Regents examinations this June. To meet the federal government’s requirements, the New York State Education Department (NYSED) has cancelled all but four of the Regents examinations previously scheduled to be administered in June 2021.
The only exams to be given this year are:
English Language Arts - Thursday, June 17
Living Environment - Tuesday, June 22
Algebra I - Wednesday, June 23
Earth Science - Thursday, June 24
It is important that we know if students are planning on participating in any of the four Regents exams. Please complete this form by Friday, June 4, 2021 so that the district can plan accordingly. If you cannot access this form, please call your student’s School Counselor to discuss participation. The High School School Counseling Center can be reached at (518) 756-5200 ext. 2007. If you do not complete this form, we will assume that your student will not be participating and an exam may not be available.
Please note: Students are not required to take the four Regents examinations. All students enrolled in and passing courses concluding with one of these four Regents will automatically receive the exempt (E) designation on their transcripts unless they decide to take the Regents examination. The exempt (E) will not factor into the final grade.
Additional information can be found in a letter shared with high school families on Friday, May 7. Those details can be found here.
