Pieter B. Coeymans Elementary School kicked off its One School, One Book program for the 2021-2022 school year this week. The One School, One Book is a program designed to create a shared reading experience and promote a culture of literacy throughout the entire PBC Community. This year’s all-school book club program will run through the month of October. Pieter B. students, and their families, will be reading The Lemonade War by Jacqueline Davies. Each student was provided with a copy of the book to take home and read with their family every night thanks to the generous PBC PTO who purchased the books for the entire school.
The book covers topics such as entrepreneurship, sibling rivalry, and lemonade fun! Students will learn the steps to create a business, have fun designing signs/logos, marketing their product, and discussing money, budgets and profits.
