REMINDER: Monday, April 4, 2022, is a staff development day and will be an early dismissal day for all students in pre-kindergarten through grade 12. Please note the following about this day:
Elementary Schools: Buses depart at 12:30 PM.
PM Pre-K students will not be coming to school this day and AM Pre-K students will be dismissed with all other students at 12:30 PM.
Students will eat lunch prior to dismissal.
Parent pick-up will begin at 12:05 PM.
Students who take the bus will be dismissed starting at 12:15 PM.
After-school childcare programs will be held.
Parents/guardians should be prepared for their students to be home 3 hours earlier than normal.
Middle and High Schools: Students will dismiss at 11:07 AM, there will be no PM CTE this day. Students will receive lunch prior to dismissal.
We are still required to monitor attendance on our school buses, track any possible COVID-19 exposures, and notify families of any exposures. And although students have not been able to be transported by school bus to alternate childcare locations since 2020, we will be making an exception to our procedures for the early dismissal on Monday, April 4 only. Families will be able to select an alternate childcare drop-off location within their child’s home school boundary, for Monday, April 4 by, filling out this form and returning it to the Transportation Department by Friday, April 1. Forms will not be accepted after April 1. They can be returned by dropping the form off at any main office, emailing it to transportation@rcscsd.org, or faxing it to (518) 756-5220.
This form may also be picked up in any of our main offices. These forms will allow us to continue with our COVID safety measures and are required for a student to be dropped off at a childcare location on Monday, April 4. No hand-written notes will be accepted for Monday, April 4. Again, this will only apply for Monday, April 4. Transportation on future shortened days will be evaluated as they approach.
