Both RCS Elementary Schools need updates to their playgrounds. These areas, used by students daily, are due for an upgrade to better suit the needs of our students and community.
Each playground is at a different stage of development. A.W. Becker is slightly ahead of Pieter B., this is due to the necessity of additional drainage at PBC that will be completed as part of the Small Construction Project in the Spring/Summer of 2023.
The money needed to complete these playground updates will be coming from contributions from Lafarge that is to be used for Facility Beautification. Equipment for these projects is on state contract and will not have to be bid for purchase, allowing for a quicker turnaround time.
