Take Our 2021-2022 Back to School ThoughtExchange Survey

RCS School Community Members,

We wanted to connect with you to understand your questions, thoughts, and suggestions regarding the opening of school this fall. As we rapidly approach the 2021-22 school year, RCS has collaborated with our 23 partnering Capital Region BOCES School Districts to create a reopening plan that can adapt to the changing COVID-19 infection rates within our schools and region (tiered mitigation).

As a reminder, RCS will be focused on the following priorities as we develop our reopening plans:

  • All students will return to in-person instruction on Wednesday, September 8, 2021

  • All grade levels will return to their traditional buildings (EL = PK-5, MS = 6-8, HS = 9-12)

  • School transportation will return to normal capacities and schedules

  • School building hours will return to their 2019-20 normal (EL 9 am - 3:30 pm M-Th and 3 pm on Friday;  MS/HS 7:30 am - 2:40 pm, and 2 pm on Friday)

Please consider participating in the "Thoughtexchange" survey located at the bottom of this page. The information that you provide will be used as the district continues to develop planning and operational procedures for the upcoming school year. All information is private and we welcome your recommendations as we prepare to reopen. Together, we will create a comprehensive plan to provide quality instruction while protecting the members of our RCS school community.

We thank you for participating and for sharing your feedback on the reentry process for the 2021-22 school year.
