As the 2021 year comes to a close, our students and staff have finally been able to come together again to hold in-person musical performances. Over the last few weeks, the RCS School District has had the pleasure of bringing back live musical performances for all four of our schools. The time and commitment dedicated to the performances by our students and staff were clear, they did a wonderful job all around!
All of our bands and choruses, as well as our second and fourth graders, were able to perform. Families were able to join their students at these concerts in limited numbers, but the recordings have been shared with each student through their google classroom for additional viewing.
Additionally, the RCS School District is pleased to announce that it has one high school student musician who was selected as an alternate for the National Association for Music Education (NAfME) 2021 All-National Honor Ensemble. Senior Aidan White was selected as an alternate for the All Nationals Mixed Chorus. The selection process for this ensemble is extremely competitive. Aidan is only the second RCS student in history to be a part of this prestigious event.
