Meet the Instruments Night Welcomes 3rd and 4th Graders

This year, the RCS Music Department expanded its annual Meet the Instruments Night to include not only fourth-grade students and their families but also, for the first time, third graders! Beginning next school year, fourth-grade students will have the opportunity to take instrumental music lessons, making this event an exciting introduction to their musical journey.

Meet the Instruments Night is an interactive evening designed to give students a hands-on opportunity to explore a wide variety of instruments. The evening is also meant for families to learn more about the music program at RCS. Attendees had the chance to see, hear, and even try out different instruments with the guidance of music teachers and high school musicians.

This event was made possible thanks to the dedicated staff of the RCS Music Department, members of the High School Tri-M Music Honor Society, and other high school instrumentalists. A special thank-you goes to John Keal Music Company, which generously provided demo instruments, cleaning materials, and staff support for the event. Their contributions helped create a welcoming, hands-on experience for our future musicians.

This special event not only inspires young students to consider joining the music program but also fosters connections through the joy of music!
