RCS sophomore Kadance Pickup has been busy at work the last few months creating the logo for the community, We <3 aRtCS Festival, coming to RCS this May!
Kadance sketched out several ideas that she then shared with the festival sponsors. After the design was selected, Kadance worked on the final details (line thickness, letter placement, and spacing). Kadance and Mrs. Wallace then brought the design into a digital format on Adobe Photoshop, where they worked together to color match from last year’s logo and cleaned up the design.
“We are very impressed with her ability to combine her personal creativity with the vision of the festival sponsors. It was tough picking just one since all of her ideas were fantastic!” said High School Art Teacher, Mrs. Wallace. “She put so much work into the piece overall and specifically into the many details of the logo. We are so proud! Great work!”
Kadance is very involved with art at RCS High School. She is an active member of the National Art Honor Society along with a recent Artist of the Month. Wonderful job, Kadance!
