Dear RCS Families and Community Members,
We want to take a moment to share some important information about parking on our Middle School and High School campus. Our updated parking lot and roadway designs have caused some understandable confusion, and we want to make sure everyone knows where vehicles should be parked when visiting our campus.
Bus Arrival and Departure Loop:
The bus parking spaces along the east and west sidewalks connecting the two buildings are reserved for buses ONLY on all school days until 6:00 PM. We run buses as late as 5:00 PM, and our drivers need these spaces available to safely pull in, load students, and depart on time. When personal vehicles occupy bus spaces, it creates delays and, more importantly, safety risks for our students and drivers. Car and truck parking is available in the center of the bus arrival and departure loop lot and in adjacent lots on campus.
From the 101 Entrance:
We have noticed vehicles stopping or parking along the roadway that connects the Middle School to the west side of campus and Route 101. This roadway must stay clear at all times. Vehicles parked along this roadway block bus traffic and make it difficult for drivers to safely navigate the campus.
To make parking locations clearer, we are posting new signage to help inform proper parking and deter parking in these prohibited locations. We appreciate your patience as we work through this transition together.
Your cooperation directly supports the safety of every student we transport each day, and we are grateful for it. Please know that, as a last resort, vehicles that impede bus traffic or the safe loading and unloading of students will be towed.
