The Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk Central School District is happy to announce the appointment of Gail Thompson as our new Director of Transportation. Gail brings a passion for student safety and department efficiency, along with a strong background in leadership and driver training.
Most recently, she served as Head Driver at Pine Plains Central School District. Prior to that, she held several transportation leadership roles, including dispatcher, new driver trainer, and driver. Gail also holds a background and accreditation in Early Childhood Development.
“We are thrilled to welcome Gail to our district,” said Superintendent of Schools Craig P. Chandler. “She is experienced, highly skilled, and, most importantly, I believe she is the perfect fit for our transportation team. Gail will bring the stability and energy that a department so vital to the daily lives of our students and families deserves.”
We would like to take this moment to extend our sincere thanks to Karen Schrader, who has served as Interim Transportation Director since late February. Her leadership and support have been instrumental in ensuring our transportation has run smoothly and that our students' safety on District vehicles remains our highest priority.
