As a reminder, student(s) that meet federal income guidelines are eligible for free meals or reduced-priced meals. If you are approved for reduced price meals, your student(s) will receive breakfast and lunch meals at no charge. Please note: this is a confidential program for interested applicants. Even though meals are free for all students at this time, it is essential that families who have a need apply for the Free and Reduced-Price Lunch program.

The 2020-21 applications for free and reduced-price lunches are sent home the first day of school, can be picked up at each school’s main office, or can be downloaded here under resources .

Families who qualify for Free and Reduced-Price Lunch can have access to additional benefits, including Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) cards from New York state, which can be used to purchase food. If you already receive Medicaid or Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), you will receive P-EBT benefits automatically, but if you do not submit your FRPL application, you might be missing out on additional benefits for your family and your school.

Free and Reduced-Price Lunch application is a two-page form that asks for basic information about your household, including income information. You do not need to include any supporting documents with your application. Families can apply at any time during the school year, but you must reapply each year.

Questions about this and other food service areas can be addressed to Food Services Director Doug Porter at (518) 756-5200, ext. 2437. More information and the complete booklet is available on the NYS Education Department website.
