We honored and celebrated the members of the Class of 2025 for their incredible hard work, dedication, and accomplishments throughout their academic and athletic journeys at RCS! Wednesday, May 28th featured two special events a Collegiate Athletic Signing and the Senior Awards Ceremony, both celebrating the hard work and bright futures of our seniors. RCS High School inducted 15 new members into the National Arts Honors Society (NAHS) on Tuesday, May 20. Members of NAHS must demonstrate dedication to their artwork, holding themselves to a high creative standard, upholding a B or above average in their art courses, and creating a positive and constructive atmosphere within the art classroom. Additionally, members need to have completed one full credit of a high school art course and have a recommendation from a visual arts teacher. Congratulations to the new inductees!




This week, RCS High School student and professional cornhole player Cameron D’Ambrosio brought his skills and enthusiasm for the game to his peers during P.E. class.
Cameron, who was featured on ESPN+ and won the 2024 National Junior Title, spent the class period introducing the sport and playing alongside the class. It was a great way to share talent, inspire others, and bring something new to physical education!




Seniors from Ms. Caprio’s Creative Writing class at RCS High School visited A.W. Becker Elementary School this week to share their original picture books with younger RCS students.


🎓 Today is College Awareness Day at RCS High School! Graduating seniors proudly wore t-shirts and hoodies representing the next stop on their academic journey. Yesterday, we celebrated our incredible bus drivers and transportation staff. Rain or shine, early mornings and late nights, our RCS Transportation Staff work tirelessly to keep our students safe and get them where they need to go!
Bus drivers do so much more than drive - they connect people. They are some of the first hellos in the morning, the ones who celebrate with congratulatory high-fives after an away game day win, and they provide a listening ear on those hard days. Thank you for all that you do!





RCS High School inducted 21 students into the National Honor Society (NHS) on Thursday, April 10, during a ceremony held in the high school auditorium. The new inductees, comprised of both sophomores and juniors, were presented with membership cards and honored for exemplifying the four pillars of NHS: scholarship, service, leadership, and character. One of our outstanding students, Hayden W., was chosen to represent our district at the Section 2 NYSPHSAA Student Leadership Conference in Albany this past week. This event is intended for 10th and 11th graders and aims to help them develop their leadership skills and promote positivity to influence their teams, athletic departments, schools, and communities. Congradulations Hayden!


RCS staff spent the afternoon focused on professional development, engaging in sessions on restorative practices at the elementary and secondary levels, certification pathways, and curriculum planning. In addition to learning and collaboration, staff enjoyed a fun fitness session with RCS retiree Terry Crawford!






We are excited to share that our RCS Harmonics and Jazz Ensemble performed at the Empire State Plaza this morning as part of the Music in Our Schools Month concert series. It was an honor to represent one of the many Capital Region schools participating in this month’s celebrations!



RCS is proud to announce that five of our Capital Region BOCES Career and Technical Education students showed their in-depth knowledge of the skilled trades at the regional SkillsUSA competition on Wednesday, March 19, in Albany! 🏅Congratulations to the three RCS first-place winners who earned their way to the state SkillsUSA competition in Syracuse next month!

The RCS Central School District would like to recognize the “Top Ten” students of the Class of 2025. These students have earned this honor based on their outstanding academic achievements, as reflected in their grade point averages (GPA) over the past four academic years. We are incredibly proud of these students and wish them continued success as they embark on their post-graduation journeys!



RCS High School held a send off for their two winter athletes heading to states this afternoon! In the photos, RCS Varsity Wrestler Jayden A. walked out of school to cheers as he heads to compete tomorrow at the MVP Arena! Good luck to Jayden and to RCSG swimmer Justin S. who will compete next weekend at Ithaca College. Let’s GO RCS!!
