RCS Middle School recently welcomed back the Capital Repertory Theatre’s On-The-Go! in-school touring program for a captivating performance of Pure Poe: Three Tales from the Macabre, adapted by Maggie Mancinelli-Cahill. The production brought Edgar Allan Poe’s most iconic works to life, engaging students with timeless tales of mystery and suspense.
Portraying the legendary storyteller himself, actor Wynn Harmon led students through performances of The Raven, The Tell-Tale Heart, and The Masque of the Red Death. From lost loves to desperate princes facing deadly fates, students were immersed in the afternoon performance of Poe’s dark, unforgettable world.
This experience was made possible by a scholarship from the Capital Repertory Theatre, and the district is deeply grateful for their support. Programs like this give our students the opportunity to engage with professional theater and bring literature to life in ways that inspire curiosity, creativity, and a love of storytelling.
We are excited to welcome back the local theater company to RCS Middle School in early winter for more exciting performances!
