The lobbies of RCS High School and Middle School were filled with creativity and excitement on the evening of May 19, 2026, as families and community members gathered for the combined Art Show and Middle School Science Fair. The event drew a strong turnout and proved to be a memorable celebration of student talent and hard work.
Visitors were invited to stroll through both buildings, where a wide variety of student artwork transformed the lobbies into colorful galleries. From paintings and drawings to mixed media creations, each piece reflected the creativity, effort, and unique perspective of the student artists. Attendees of all ages enjoyed taking in the displays and supporting the young creators behind them.
In the Middle School Library, students showcased their science projects through interactive exhibits. A few students stood beside their displays, explaining their projects to visitors. Topics ranged from local ecology studies to probability experiments involving favorite Sour Patch Kids flavors, highlighting the students’ scientific knowledge.
Adding to the evening’s atmosphere, the Middle School Honor Band performed a short musical set in the Middle School Large Group Room (LGR), providing entertainment as guests continued to explore the exhibits.
The success of the event was made possible through the dedication and hard work of many contributors. Special thanks go to RCS Middle School art teacher Tim Meservey and High School art teachers Amber Simmons and Christina Wallace for organizing and showcasing the incredible artistic talents of RCS students. Appreciation is also extended to the teachers and staff who coordinated the science fair and helped create such a successful evening for students, families, and the community alike.
