Class of 2022 Graduation Update; 05-23-22

Dear Seniors & Families, 

It is hard to believe, but Graduation is right around the corner! Watching you all learn and grow these last few years has been an amazing experience, and we can not wait to see all of the fabulous adventures you take. 

We are writing to provide some information and updates regarding the Class of 2022 Graduation.   • Senior Walkthrough will happen on Wednesday, June 8, 2022: Students will receive their cap and gown before walking through AWB, PBC, and the MS during the school day. 

  • Graduation Rehearsal will be on Thursday, June 23, 2022, at 11:30 a.m. in the High School Main Gym. If you need transportation, please contact the Transportation Department at (518) 756-5241 or at by Thursday, June 16. Students do not need to wear their caps and gowns to rehearsal. 

  • Graduation will take place on Friday, June 24, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. at the Empire State Plaza Convention Center. 

    • Address: 279 Madison Ave, Albany, NY 12242

    • Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for general admission, and seating is first-come, first-serve. Tickets are not required, and there is no limit to the number of attendees. 

    • For anyone who requires handicap accommodations or seating, doors will open at 5:00 p.m., one additional person will be allowed in with that individual. A map will be forthcoming for handicap-accessible accommodations.

    • At this time, there are no restrictions or limitations regarding COVID. Masks and prior testing are not required, but social distancing is encouraged.

The Ravena News-Herald has graciously provided our seniors' families with Class of 2022 yard signs again this year! Students who drive can bring their signs home beginning Wednesday, May 25. The signs cannot go on the bus home with students. For students who take the bus, signs can be picked up during school days from the Main Office from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Lastly, the RCS Central School District, in partnership with Spotlight Newspapers, has worked to have the RCS Class of 2022 recognized in its June 15 issue of the publication. The publication will print a special issue that will include all of our graduating seniors’ photos to celebrate their achievements! As part of this partnership, Spotlight News will offer advertising space in the publication where parents may purchase space to celebrate their seniors. There is no requirement or obligation for parents/caregivers to purchase an advertisement. To learn more about this opportunity, go to:
