This week, our elementary buildings celebrated Dr. Seuss’s birthday by reading beloved classics like Go, Dog. Go! and, of course, Green Eggs and Ham.
Ms. Valentin’s class at A.W. Becker Elementary made the celebration even more memorable by cooking up their own “green eggs and ham” and enjoying some of their favorite Dr. Seuss stories together. 📚💚🍳

December was filled with creativity and joy in the art room with Ms. Chriss! 🎨✨ Our youngest artists in pre-K created festive fingerprint reindeer ornaments, kindergarten students brought ceramic owl figurines to life, and first graders explored clay through hands-on art projects. Fifth graders spread extra holiday cheer by teaming up with students across grade levels to design hand-painted Christmas cards, which were shared with the Outreach and Mission Committee of Emmanuel Friedens Church in Schenectady, led by Nancy Spencer. We’re so proud of our students for using their creativity to brighten the season! ❤️

A small group of RCS Middle Schoolers stepped up as tour guides this week, welcoming next year’s 6th-grade class from A.W. Becker! These student leaders showed future middle schoolers around the building, answered questions, and shared what life is really like in middle school.
